I want to document my whole foods plant based diet here to get some support and encouragement. today.. Breakfast: oatmeal w/ quinoa and flax + berries Lunch: greens/beans/seeds/carrots/steamed broccoli /brown rice/ bowl of strawberries Dinner: ate out, baked potato and steamed veggies + date/nut balls Feeling a little hungry after dinner.

Hey Tim! A chronicle of your food journey is a wonderful idea! When you start on this path, really keeping track of the foods that you are eating can help you to understand how each new food makes you feel. Your first day food looks really good. I understand that you felt a little hungry after dinner. You might consider having a salad along with the baked potato and steamed veggies, with perhaps a nut/seed based dressing, or just some seeds sprinkled over the salad or steamed greens. You did really well for eating out at a restaurant! That is the toughest part of the eating puzzle for most folks. Sometimes I take a little container of my homemade dressing to a restaurant to dress my fresh greens, and sometimes I just bring along some raw sunflower seeds to toss in the salad and dress it with some lemon from the restaurant. Either of those items might help you to feel a bit more satisfied in the evening. You are doing great! How did today go for you? Please keep journaling and let us know how it is going. Hi Ida, thanks for the encouragement. Today BR: spinach salad with seeds, noodles, beans, 1 oz chicken sliced LUNCH: Home made Soup with lentils/ tofu, Half turkey sandwich from Panera, + apple Dinner: Kale greens with beans + nuts, seeds., mushrooms - yum! Pomegranate and pear for dessert
