The holiday season is notorious for having an abundance of sweets, treats, and other foods that can pack on the pounds. It can be tempting to throw your healthy eating plan out the window when the holidays roll around, but there are many strategies to help you stay on track. One of these healthy eating strategies is to bring your own healthy dish or dessert!

With all the cookies, candies, pastries, and pies that are sure to make your mouth water, we want to clue you in on one of our favorite dessert recipes that tastes great and is also good for you!

Our Chocolate Dip is quick, easy, and sure to be a hit -- you’d be surprised by how many nutrients this dip packs in. You can serve it with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries -- or whatever your favorite fruit is! Maybe even dip a banana or two in the chocolate dip and freeze it for a chocolate covered frozen banana!

  • 1 cup of spinach

  • 1 ½ cups of vanilla non-dairy milk (soy or almond)

  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries

  • 1 cup of pitted dates

  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder (non-alkalized)

  • ⅓ cup of whole raw almonds (you can soak ahead of time for added smoothness)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

All you need to do is throw all of the ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy! Serve with fresh fruit and enjoy.
