Watermelon Smoothie Extravaganza

Kayla Sheely , 05/20/2016

Spinach, kale, collard greens, watercress...whatever your preference, leafy greens are some of the healthiest, most nutritious foods out there. We’d all benefit from adding more to our diet! That being said, we know it can be difficult to fit greens into your daily diet.

Whether you’re a healthy eating pro and leafy greens are your favorite part of your diet, or you’re new to healthy eating and aren’t sure where to start, green smoothies are an easy way to increase your daily fruit and vegetable intake.

Just got back from a run and need a pick-me-up? Or maybe you want something cool and sweet to sip on by the pool! Either way, this week’s smoothie includes some of our favorite summer fruits: watermelon and strawberries! We also added baby kale (got to get those greens!), banana, and lime juice. Sprinkle some chia seeds on top, add a lime wedge to your glass, and voila!

Seriously, you won’t even realize what you are drinking is healthy!

Here’s the recipe:

1 ½ cups watermelon
